Middle School Blast Feb 9, 2024
Note from Bill…
Thanks so much to those parents who attended last night’s Delay The Phone event! It is so important that we all understand and work together to alleviate the inherent risks that are ever-present for kids in the world(s) that exist online. I will be making this presentation available as both a PDF and video. Please let me know if you would like either of these versions to this event.
We are slowly approaching the middle of the third quarter of the school year. This is a time when all of our teachers write comments directed to students, assessing how they are doing at this point in the year. In response, students will be reflecting on these comments and creating action plans for the remainder of the year to achieve realistic goals. Much more information about this will be detailed in the coming Blasts.
Key Dates & Events
Friday, Feb. 16 — Professional Development Day. No Classes.
Monday, Feb. 19 — Presidents Day. No School.
Friday, Feb. 23 — Seventh and Eighth Grade Party

Arts Alive — Call for Performers
Are you interested in having your group perform at Arts Alive? We are looking for acts to perform on the outdoor stages and in the DAC Blackbox. Last year, we had some wonderful performances by student organized groups, and we would love to have that continue this year. Arts Alive is intended to celebrate all of the artistry within our community. Please note that this is not a talent show and that groups should have a couple of pieces, totaling approximately 10-25 minutes, performed as a set. If you would like to be considered, please complete the Arts Alive performers Google form and upload a video of your act. We will be accepting submissions from now through Feb. 20 and will let acts know if they are accepted by Spring Break. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Hauser.

Join us Thursday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. in The Schiff Center.
