What to Know Now
You’re invited! Early School Ribbon-cutting Ceremony — May 9
Join us tomorrow, May 9, at 9:30 a.m. for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Taft Early School addition. There will be crafts, activities, refreshments, and tours of the new space! After the ceremony, join us at the first Science Spectacular, which starts at 10 a.m.
Science Spectacular — May 9
Please join us tomorrow, May 9, from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. to celebrate science at Seven Hills. Middle and Upper School students will be leading booths for our Early and Lower School students to take part in science-related activities. Please join us for an hour or the whole event!
Activities include hands-on stations across multiple science disciplines, interactive demonstrations, a nature walk, and a native species planting project in our creek bed. We’ll also have food to purchase with a variety of food trucks, including coffee, food, and Kona Ice.

Lost and Found
Is your child missing their brand new spring jacket? Most likely it’s in our Lost and Found! We are busting at the seams in both the Early School and 1-5 Building! It’s that time of year when many sweaters, jackets, and coats mysteriously end up in our Lost and Found. Please remember to write your name on all outerwear. This will help us return any lost items. If you are in the building, stop by and check for your child’s clothing!

Fifth Grade Living Landscapes Expo — May 15
The fifth-grade students are pleased to invite you to their Living Landscapes Expo on Friday, May 15, from 8-9 a.m. in Founders Hall. They have dedicated significant effort in science class to researching biomes, constructing detailed dioramas, and preparing informative poster presentations to create an engaging and immersive exploration of ecosystems from around the world. We hope you will be able to join us for this special event.

Parent Community News
May Fete Magic — Thanks to You!
The planning of May Fete 2026 started about one year ago this week and ended last Friday with a spirited event enjoyed by the Lotspeich community! A big thank you to Natasha Bishop for chairing May Fete this year — you did an amazing job, and we cannot thank you enough for stepping up to take this on in addition to all the other things you do for the school!
Big thank yous to Mona Desai and Lindsey O’Connell, our fearless PC chairs for Lotspeich, who keep our many events running smoothly and successfully! To all the other members of the community who helped with raffle baskets, preparation, and planning — we are so grateful. Applause for Anna Karol, who helped with lists, badges, and all the things, as only she can do. And to our over 90 parents, teachers, and Middle School students who stepped in to fill each and every sign-up spot — the night could not go on without you!
From the Whack A Mole to the Dance Floor, the evening was full of fun and smiles across all ages — what a perfect way to start to wind down the school year! Thank you again to all who were involved in making May Fete Magic!
