Parent Community News
A Giant Carnival Tent-sized “THANK YOU!”
The Doherty Carnival didn’t just happen — it was built, piece by piece, with care, creativity, and a whole lot of heart. And at the center of it all was Aloah Duke. Aloah brought months of thoughtful planning and coordination to life, always with one clear goal: pure joy for the kids. We are incredibly grateful for everything Aloah gave to make this year’s carnival such a success. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and remarkable ability to get things done will be deeply missed next year – we hear the MS PC can’t wait to snap you up! Thank you, Aloah, for giving our kids such a joyful day and our community something special to celebrate.
Thank you to Natalie Martin for adding the magic to Aloah’s plans. The décor is always inspiring and is installed with so much care. Thank you for the mock-ups, hours of trial and error, and countless late nights. Thank you for wrangling a group of crafty volunteers and building community, one cut-up tablecloth at a time.
Thank you to all our teachers who are so graceful during the disruption. Thank you to Susan Coldiron for problem-solving, remembering all the things we forget, and repeating the contents of the Blast to our reluctant readers. Thank you to Tracy Murch for your partnership. You are the very best.
Thank you to all the parents! Over 50 of you gave your time and effort to this event. We really appreciate your support; Carnival is a big undertaking, but it’s the most fun!
