What to Know Now
ECC with Grade 1-5 Sibling Pickup
As the weather turns colder, we want to help make afternoon pickup as comfortable and smooth as possible! You’re welcome to park and stay in your vehicle at the 3:15 p.m. pickup time. We’ll give a big wave when the older Grade 1-5 siblings are in our building, and you can pickup your students then.
To keep the traffic flow safe and easy for everyone, please avoid stopping at the 2’s exit door or waiting inside the building.
Thank you so much for your cooperation and help in keeping pickup running safely and efficiently!
November Food Drive
The Seven Hills School will hold its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive this November. If you would like to contribute, we will have bins outside the office lobbies to drop donations. This year, we are collecting for La Soupe, and we are concentrating on collecting rice, pasta, dried beans, lentils, and tomato paste.
You may have heard the fun, incentive announcement that was made about the food drive. If you haven’t, Ms. Miller and Mrs. Necessary are working hard to get as many items that we can collect. Their special announcement was: For each 100 items collected, one teacher will have to spend the night at school! They will observe and report all the fun that happens at night while students are at home. The count is on! We can’t wait to see how many teachers will be having a slumber party!

The Lower School Book Fair is Open!
Book Fair Website: You can browse and order books online here. Be sure to select which campus (Doherty or Lotspeich) before placing your order online.
Dates: Nov. 5-16
Location: Lotspeich and Doherty libraries
How it works: During their library class, students are previewing the books available at the Book Fair in the Lotspeich and Doherty libraries. Book browsing is also available for adults during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Nov. 12-13.
Delivery: Most books ordered from the Book Fair will be delivered directly to your child’s classroom before Winter Break.
Questions? If you have any questions or need more information, please reach out to Lotspeich librarian Lori Suffield or Doherty librarian Jo Schnirring.
The Honeycomb! A Community Service Opportunity — Nov. 20 and Dec. 4
The Honeycomb is a Lower School community service initiative where students come together to spread kindness, responsibility, and community — our Hive values — in action. Meeting twice a month after school, we learn how even the smallest acts can make the biggest ripples.
We have just TWO sessions left, Nov. 20 (NEW DATE!) and Dec. 4! Don’t miss out on these great opportunities to give back! These are joint sessions, where we will work on the same project, so we encourage you to attend both! Both these sessions will now be at Lotspeich. We welcome parents to attend if they would like to support the cause!
Register today!

Friendsgiving Feast — Nov. 25, 11:30 a.m.

Toys and Treasures at School
Special items and toys are always tempting to bring to school to share with friends, but they can also be a distraction to your child and others. The safest thing to do is to keep special items and toys at home so they remain safe. Please remember that the school cannot be responsible for any lost items brought in from home.

We are excited to invite you to volunteer at this year’s Seven Hills FIRST® LEGO® League Qualifying Event on Saturday, Dec. 6! This is a unique opportunity to be part of an inspiring, joy-filled experience where students showcase their learning, innovation, and teamwork.
To make the day a success, we need many helping hands — and there’s a role for everyone! Sign-up for a volunteer position.
Event Overview
This year’s theme, “Unearthed,” challenges teams to uncover the past to discover the future. Students have been designing robots, researching innovative projects, and practicing gracious professionalism as they prepare to compete and share their work.
The morning features team presentations for judges, while the afternoon is all about the Robot Game — a fast-paced, crowd-energizing competition where robots complete as many missions as possible in two and a half minutes.

- Check-In /Concessions
- Floater (various shifts)
All volunteers receive training and support throughout the day. Most importantly, you’ll get to be part of an unforgettable event where students’ creativity and teamwork take center stage.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the team for a day of robotics, fun, and celebration!
