Introducing … The Honeycomb! A Community Service Opportunity for all Lower School Students
The Honeycomb is a Lower School community service initiative where students come together to spread kindness, responsibility, and community — our Hive values — in action. Meeting twice a month after school, we learn how even the smallest acts can make the biggest ripples. The first session will be on Wednesday, Oct. 1, after school at 3:45 p.m. on the Doherty Campus.
Like bees in a hive, we work as a team to care for others, create joy, and make our school and wider community stronger. Through service projects, songs, and teamwork, The Honeycomb inspire each other to BEE kind, BEE safe, and BEE learners who use their gifts to make the world a better place.
Each opportunity has a small fee to cover the cost of supplies for our projects!

Pickup Tips!
Looking for a smoother way through the after school car line? Here are some parent to parent tips after the first few weeks of school:
- Try coming later! The closer to 3:20 p.m. you arrive, the faster you’ll get through the line and the less traffic you will sit in on Red Bank!
- If you take 71 to go home from school, avoid the Red Bank Expressway, instead try using the Ridge Avenue exit (take a right out of the school parking lot).
- If your child gets in the car on the driver’s side, make sure to stay in Lane 1 or 2 to avoid the through traffic next to Lane 3!
- Any other parent to parent tips? Let us know!
Trunk or Treat — Saturday, Oct. 25
Trunk or Treat takes place on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Doherty. Families have the option to pass out candy or simply attend. See the flyer for more details.

Announcements
Reminder to Label Fall Clothing and Gear
As the weather gets cooler and our students are bringing sweatshirts and jackets, it’s a great time to remind families to label their gear! Students need the warmth in the morning, but by afternoon, they are ready to shed the jacket and play in the sunshine. Please be sure to at least write your child’s last name on their sweatshirts and jackets. If teachers see a name, we can easily return the lost item to its owner. Without a name, it can sadly sit in our Lost and Found for months. Thank you for your help in keeping our Lost and Found area manageable.
Parent Night Survey
We would like to get your thoughts on Parent Night so we can make sure we are meeting your needs. Please take a moment to complete this brief Parent Night Survey.

Priority Admission Deadline for Seven Hills Siblings
- Nov. 15 for Pre-kindergarten for 2-year-olds-Grade 5
- Dec. 1 for Grades 6-12
Because we have limited space in several grades and our applicant pool is competitive, we recommend completing the admission process as early as possible. Admission applications for Seven Hills siblings are given priority status within the applicant pool as long as we receive the admission application by the above deadlines. Use the code ABC to waive the $50 application fee.
To submit an admission application for another child, please login to your Veracross account. Using the column icon at the top of the page, select “Admission,” then “Manage Candidate Applications.” You will then be able select the box with a plus (+) sign, “Add a New Candidate/Applicant.”
