What to Know Now

Homecoming Spirit Week

Show us your spirit the week of Sept. 15-19! Here are our themed days for Homecoming:

Homecoming — Sept. 19-20

Homecoming is Friday, Sept. 19 to Saturday, Sept. 20. Check out the full schedule of Homecoming events. We hope to see you to celebrate this joyous occasion! Go Stingers!

Reminder to Label Fall Clothing and Gear

As the weather gets cooler and our students are bringing sweatshirts and jackets, it’s a great time to remind families to label their gear! Students need the warmth in the morning, but by afternoon, they are ready to shed the jacket and play in the sunshine. Please be sure to at least write your child’s last name on their sweatshirts and jackets. If teachers see a name, we can easily return the lost item to its owner. Without a name, it can sadly sit in our Lost and Found for months. Thank you for your help in keeping our Lost and Found area manageable.

Parent Night Survey

We would like to get your thoughts on Parent Night so we can make sure we are meeting your needs. Please take a moment to complete this brief Parent Night Survey.

PC Meeting — Today, Friday, Sept. 5

Join us immediately after drop-off today, Friday, Sept. 5, in the ATB room for our first quarterly PC meeting of the school year. Each quarterly meeting will feature a different speaker. This week, we are excited to welcome Head of Lotspeich Susan Miller!

Parent Walking Group: Step into the Conversation — Monday, Sept. 8

This group consists of Seven Hills parents from all divisions with the occasional faculty visitor. This is a casual and welcoming group. We get our steps in while meeting new people and learning more about what is happening at school. Our next meetup will be on Monday, Sept. 8, after morning drop off on the lower soccer field on the Hillsdale Campus. Very casual. Very fun. Please use this link to join the WhatsApp Chat for the meeting schedule and details.

Announcements

ECC/Lotspeich Sibling Dismissal

We love that parents/caregivers are gathering to pick up their ECC students and siblings at the 2’s side door. It is an amazing opportunity to catch up with one another and greet your students as they are released. In the case of inclement weather and colder temperatures, feel free to stay in your vehicle. We will signal to all families with a large wave as the “big” kids arrive and are ready to be picked up. Thank you.

Pre-Kindergarten Paperwork

We are still waiting on some health and enrollment forms from pre-kindergarten families. While the paperwork seems redundant to what was completed online, Ohio Department of Education requires it to be completed for every pre-k student. Please see Nichole O’Rourke if you need an additional copy. We will be asking for it as we see you this week. The state requires that EVERY line is completed, even if just a dash when appropriate. We appreciate your time and diligence in completing these forms.

After the Bell News

Sports Reminder
If your child is on a fall soccer team on either the Hillsdale Campus or the Doherty Campus, you do not have to pay for ATB if their practice begins at 3:45 p.m. A coach or a sports coordinator will pick them up from their classroom or the shuttle immediately after school. If your child needs to return to ATB after practice, or their practice begins after 3:45 p.m., you do need to select the daily drop-in. You may do so via Veracross.

Daily Drop-Ins and Annual ATB
You can register for daily drop-ins and Annual ATB below. As a reminder, daily registration ends each Monday at  9 a.m.

  • Annual After the Bell Enrollment
  • Daily After the Bell Registration

Enrichment
We are offering an exciting line-up of enrichment programs beginning Sept. 15 for our Fall 1 Session. See the below chart for options and registration is now open! We will have options for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten and first to fifth grade on both campuses. Students can take the shuttle between campuses for enrichment programs. You won’t want to miss our fun lineup! Register today via Veracross.

  • Fall 1 Session Dates — Sept. 15-Oct. 24
  • Fall 2 Session Dates — Nov. 3-Dec. 19
