Parent Community News
Come One, Come All, For CAR•NI•VAL!
Mark your calendars — we are just one month away from the Doherty Carnival! Join us on May 1 from 5-8 p.m. to celebrate a fantastic school year with an evening of games, inflatables, food trucks, and more.
The Doherty Carnival is our largest event of the year and is made possible by the dedication of our parent volunteers. To help ensure a fun and successful event for all, we ask that one person from each family volunteer just 30 minutes to run a game or supervise an inflatable.
You may sign up using SignUpGenius to select a time slot that works best for you, and additional volunteer time is always appreciated. If you have any questions, please contact Aloah Duke.
Carnival T-Shirts
Carnival T-shirt ordering is now open! Orders must be placed by April 10. We are excited to announce that this year’s winning design was created by fifth grade student Claire Martin.
To place your order, please use the Carnival T-shirt order form.
Carnival T-shirts are a cherished Doherty tradition. While not required, many students and staff enjoy wearing them on Carnival day to show their school spirit.

Locks for Leonard Hair Fair
Hair donations collected from the Locks for Leonard Hair Fair will be donated to organizations that create wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment or suffering from autoimmune diseases. The hair fair is being organized by the Middle School but all Seven Hills students can participate. To donate your hair, follow these three steps:
- Get a haircut! Go to the stylist of your choice and tell them you want to donate your hair. Send before and after pics to Hannah Hanley.
- Bring your bagged ponytail to the Middle School office. Include your name on the bag and what grade you are in — we would love to give you a shoutout on our Seven Hills social media.
- Grow your hair out! You must donate at least eight inches.
We will accept hair donations through May 1.

Leave a Review of Seven Hills on Niche!
Help the school and prospective families — at the same time — by leaving a review on Niche. Niche is a website that parents and students can use to research schools (from primary schools to universities) based on student and parent reviews and data from sources like the National Center for Education Statistics. Sharing your perspective as a Seven Hills parent on the page helps in two ways: 1) Families who are researching schools can learn about the Seven Hills’ experience directly from current families, and 2) Reviews from parents contribute to the school’s ranking on Niche. To write a review, visit https://www.niche.com/k12/survey/, search for The Seven Hills School in the search bar, and click “Start survey.”
