What to Know Now

Look Ahead to Middle School for Fifth Grade Students and Parents

The Middle School is looking forward to Seven Hills fifth graders joining us next year. There are two upcoming events to prepare students and parents for this important transition. On Wednesday, Dec. 3, fifth graders will have their visit to the Middle School. On Thursday, Jan. 8, there will be a Zoom meeting for fifth grade parents. LEAD Together: Jonathan Haidt Webinar and Discussion — Dec. 3, Founders Hall

Please join us on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 8:45-10:45 a.m., for a webinar featuring social psychologist and author Jonathan Haidt. We’ll watch the webinar together in Founders Hall on the Hillsdale Campus and then break up into discussion groups. This webinar is meant for families in Lower, Middle, and Upper. Coffee and breakfast treats included. RSVP here.

PC Meeting — Dec. 5

Join us for the next PC Meeting on Dec. 5 in the library (downstairs in Jones Hall). We’ll gather right after morning drop-off. Topics include the new Winter Family Dance! If you are interested in helping us plan this event, we’d love to have you! Can’t make the meeting but want to help? Email Molly Stark.

Doherty Winter Program

The Winter Program is a tradition we all anticipate. We would like to invite parents of students in kindergarten through fifth grade to the Winter Program on Friday, Dec. 19, at 9:30 a.m. in The Schiff Center at the Hillsdale Campus. Students are asked to dress in nice attire.

Pre-kindergarten parents are invited to attend a performance including all grades, pre-k through fifth, on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. in the Doherty cafeteria. Pre- K students are asked to dress in nice attire and kindergarten to fifth grade students will wear PJs corresponding to their Spirit Week theme day.

A packet of information including a map of the Hillsdale Campus, a Q&A form, and a dismissal form will be sent home today. Be sure to return the dismissal form as soon as possible. If you need an extra form please contact your student’s teacher or the office.

Winter Spirit Week

To end the year, we will have a Winter Spirit Week Dec. 15-19. Due to the two Winter Programs, we will have two separate spirit week schedules. One for kindergarten to fifth grade and one for pre-kindergarten. Please click on the appropriate link below.

Holiday Care — Dec. 19 

We will be offering Holiday Care for our last day of school on both campuses beginning at 11:30 a.m. This program will run until 6 p.m., and is separate than regular ATB. Registration will be opened when we return from Thanksgiving Break!

Second Semester LEAD Together Events

Save the dates for our second semester LEAD Together programming! Come to one or come to many and learn alongside other parents, faculty, and administration.
