What to Know Now
Parent Veracross Guides
If you are new to Seven Hills or just need a refresher about using Veracross, check out our parent guides:
New Year, New Gear – Spirit Day Friday, Aug. 22!
The first week of school is always buzzing with excitement — and this year, we’re adding more spirit to the mix! During that week, every student will receive a new piece of Seven Hills spirit wear as a gift from the school to kick off the 2025-26 year.
We hope they’ll wear their new Seven Hills shirt on Friday, Aug. 22 for our first Spirit Day of the year. We can’t wait to see everyone’s Stinger Pride and to celebrate a great first week in style!
Join Cub Scout Pack 113 – Adventure Awaits!
Several Lotspeich families are already part of Cub Scout Pack 113, and we’d love to welcome more! Cub Scouting offers girls and boys in kindergarten through fifth grade a chance to make friends, explore the outdoors, try new activities like archery and camping, and build character through fun, hands-on adventures.
Come learn more at our New Scout Info Night/Registration on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church, 1345 Grace Ave. Meet our leaders, see what Cub Scouts is all about, and sign up for a year of unforgettable experiences.

Announcements
After the Bell
We are so excited to welcome new and returning faces for our after school program! As detailed in the welcome back email, all After the Bell registrations (including Encore, music lessons, Holiday Care, and enrichment) will be in your parent portal under parent links. We share info weekly in The Blast, so please check here for After the Bell needs.
Currently, only Daily Drop In’s and Annual ATB registration are available. In late August we will be sharing information about Holiday Care and enrichment programs right here in The Blast!
To Register
- Annual After the Bell Enrollment
- Daily After the Bell Registration
- If you are interested in music lessons (piano, violin, or voice) these are offered based on instructor availability. Your child must be in kindergarten in order to begin lessons. Email Jill Romerill and Christina O’Donnell so they can connect you with an instructor.
We look forward to meeting you!
Jill and Christina
Download the Seven Hills App!
Report your child’s attendance, check their schedule, read The Blast, and more — all from your phone. We are excited to share the new Seven Hills app, which is linked directly to Veracross. While this app cannot do everything Veracross does via desktop, it does make some key features of Veracross easier to access. And you don’t have to log in every time you open the app!
Athletics
Stinger Athletics
Is your child interested in playing sports this school year at Seven Hills? Please see the Youth Sports Guide for more information about registration dates and sports seasons. Go Stingers!
New Athletics Team
Our new athletics team of Interim Athletic Director Brandon Williams, Associate Athletic Director Mike Combs, and Administrative Assistant to the Athletic Director Erin Wierzba, along with our dedicated youth sports coordinators, Marty Gerhardt, Abbey Sir Louis, and Lindsey Steuer, have been hard at work preparing our programming for our families this year.
Over the summer, we completed the installation of our new lower field, providing a great space for our athletes to train and compete.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any of us:
Keep an eye out for Kindergarten Kickers sign-ups and more details about Homecoming on Friday, Sept. 19, coming soon.
Go Stingers!
